Memorabilia Questions and Answers

I have a Colonel Coon Coffee Cup can you tell me more
about it please?

Tennessee Knife Works had nothing to do
with the Colonel Coon coffee cups being made.
The
time period is not known when they were made however they were made by Mr.
Murphy in Dyersburg, TN,
the guy who started the Colonel Coon Collectors Club.
Permission
was never given from Adrian Harris or anyone else at Tennessee Knife
Works to have them made. The ones seen have
Dyersburg, TN on them. The coffee cups were made long after
Tennessee Knife Works went out of business. In other words, they are
not "Official Colonel Coon
Coffee Cups".
I have a Colonel Coon Belt Buckle can
you tell me more about
it?

The Belt Buckles were made in Murfreesboro, TN by a
small bronze casting company who made bronze plaques for buildings, etc.
The gentleman starting making belt buckles as a sideline. (I think they
are out of business now).
They would make about 25 per run for Tennessee
Knife Works. At the time the charge was about $5 each.
The reason the buckles were made were two reasons:
First, it was a sand cast bronze belt buckle (which was very unique in
itself), and second, was to give to any Colonel Coon dealer who bought 4
dozen or more Colonel Coon knives.
About 200+ belt buckles were made, give or take a few.
I have seen this Colonel Coon Knives
Hunting Cap for sale, is this a vintage hat?

No, the hat is not vintage. Smoky Mountain Knife Works
sells this hat new on their website. I have also seen this hat for sale
on eBay.
